"पानी कुछ बह चला"

पानी कुछ बह चला, कुछ नमी छोड़ गया ,

कुछ मिट्टी ले गया, कुछ ज़मी छोड़ गया,

कुछ जख्म के निशान सीने पे, कुछ कमी छोड़ गया,

कुछ किस्से बह गए, कुछ कहानी छोड़ गया,

पानी कुछ बह चला, भीगी पलके छोड़ गया,

कुछ ग़म ले चला, कुछ भारीपन छोड़ गया,

कुछ बूंदो के गिरने की , आवाज़े छोड़ गया,

तन पर बह चला, मन तंन्हा छोड़ गया,

पानी कुछ बह चला, बोझ हल्का कर गया,

पुरानी पगडंडिया बहा गया, नये रास्ते गढ़ गया,

कुछ मेरे मन से बह चला, तेरे मन मे भर गया,

कुछ साल बह गए, कुछ यादें छोड़ गया,

पानी कुछ बह चला,

English translation:

"some water flows away"

Some water flows away, some moisture left behind,

it took some soil with it, left some land behind,

left some scars on the heart, left some emptiness,

Some stories are gone, some stories are left behind,

The water swept away, left some teary eyes,

It took some sadness with it, left some heaviness behind,

sound of some falling rain droplets left behind,

flows on my body , left my soul behind alone,

Some water flows away, the burden was lightened,

Old trails were washed away, new paths were laid,

Some flows from your heart, got filled in mine,

Some years went away, left some memories,

Some water flows away.
